About Distance Learning for Development

The DL4D (Distance Learning for Development) website provides information on high-quality postgraduate training designed for those working in the field of international development. This site has information on over 140 short courses available to study at a distance. They are drawn from the range of distance learning courses provided by our partner colleges in the University of London and the University of London External Programme.

The DL4D initiative is coordinated by the London International Development Centre (LIDC ). The London International Development Centre (LIDC) is a collaborative project which brings together social and natural scientists from across the University of London’s six Bloomsbury Colleges (Birkbeck, Institute of Education, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Royal Veterinary College, School of Oriental and African Studies, and The School of Pharmacy). It undertakes original interdisciplinary research and training to tackle complex problems in international development.
