Course Description: AIDS is the most important infectious disease to emerge during an era in which the techniques for the investigation, treatment and control of infection were in place and, therefore, it is important to explore how the epidemic has been handled in the context of both biomedicine and society. This course will explore the biology and pathology of HIV infection in order to understand how AIDS develops.
Assessment: Exam 70% - Written Assignment(s) 30%
