Course Description: This course introduces you to the range of environmental health concerns including pollution of air, water, food and land; climate change; the urban environment. The course will cover interpretation and evaluation of risk assessments in environmental health, policy issues, standard setting and epidemiology. The course considers environmental health in the local, national and global context. There is a case study with the focus on applying knowledge about environmental health to the student's own environment.
Assessment: Exam 70% - Written Assignment(s) 30%
Course Credit: All LSHTM Short Courses offer transfer of credit to LSTHM Certificate, Diploma or Masters-level programmes within 4 years of completion
Course Study Hours/Duration: 100 hrs over 35 weeks
