Course Description: This course focuses on the ideologies and theories which underlie health promotion. Topics will include the history, politics and ethics of health promotion, community development, healthy public policy, models of behaviour change and communicating risk. The course also covers planning health promotion interventions. The importance of evaluation and research in all aspects of health promotion will be emphasized throughout the course.

Course Credit: All LSHTM Short Courses offer transfer of credit to LSTHM Certificate, Diploma or Masters-level programmes within 4 years of completion
