Course Description: The objectives of this course are to introduce statistical methods used in veterinary epidemiology to enable you to conduct statistical modelling of epidemiological data. Subject areas covered include: introduction to measures of effect; analysis of cohort studies and casecontrol studies; likelihood, multivariable analysis and statistical modelling; simple logistic model, logistic regression, Poisson regression and Cox regression.
Assessment: Exam 80% - 1 Written Assignment 20%
Course Credit: All RVC 240-hr Short Courses offer transfer of credit to RVC Certificate, Diploma or Masters-level programmes within 4 years of completion
Course Study Hours/Duration: 240 hrs over 35 weeks
Schedule of Availability: The study period is between Feb - Oct. For enrolment, all RVC short courses are available throughout the year on a rolling enrolment basis. However, 240-hr courses (taken from the Masters programmes) have exams to be taken in Oct each year
