Course Description: Tuberculosis remains the most common infectious cause of death world wide and so interventions suitable for both developed and developing countries will be considered and their limitations discussed. This course will deal with the biology and pathology of tuberculosis, most particularly how modern techniques of molecular biology and immunology have been harnessed to combat an old plague.
Assessment: Exam 70% - Written Assignment(s) 30%
Course Credit: All LSHTM Short Courses offer transfer of credit to LSTHM Certificate, Diploma or Masters-level programmes within 4 years of completion
